The Fibonacci Seqence

At Petrosains Discovery Centre they had lots of different counters with staff telling you about different things. At one of the counters I learnt about The Fibonacci Sequence.

The Fibonacci Sequence is a sequence of numbers where each number has been added to the number before it to give you the next number, example:

1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55……

The Fibonacci Sequence occurs in nature.
An octopus has 8 tentacles
A spider has 8 legs
A human has – 2 ears, eys, arms, legs, hands and feet. 1 mouth, nose and body. 5 fingers and toes.

Petrosains

We went to Petrosains Discovery Centre. It’s a discovery centre about science, and oil and petrol, because it’s sponsored by Petronas (an oil drilling company). It’s in the Suria Mall which is under the Petronas Towers. You have to go on a dark ride at the start of Petrosains, it goes through a fake version of a rainforest.
In Petrosains there are different sections about the microscopic world, speed, how oil was formed, activities to explore balance, electricity and water.

I enjoyed a Formula 1 simulator in which you had to get a perfect start to win, it tested your reactions.
